Hello everyone! My name is Sommerset Sewell. I have been involved in music for as long I can remember. From Elementary school to High school, I was always doing something musical. In the fifth grade, I was a member of the Honor Choir and the Music Visions Program at my school. In middle school, I continued singing in choir and by the eighth grade, I was moved up to the honors program. In high school I was a chamber singer and participated in ACDA as well as Solo and Ensemble. I was also showcased as Rapunzel in Into the Woods, Jr. and as an ensemble member in Shrek the Musical. It was no surprise that I wanted to pursue music in college. While in my undergrad, I made my first ever opera appearance in Hansel and Gretel as the Sandman or, in our version, the Night Fairy and I started taking piano lessons. I took piano class and from there, I continued to take lessons. Now, I play piano for my church. In 2022, I earned a Bachelor of Art degree in Music and a performance certificate. In 2024, I hope to receive my Master of Music degree in Performance. With every lesson I teach, I strive to be an encourager as well as a motivator, I aspire to share my love of music with others and above all, I endeavor to instill a never-ending passion for music into each student that I teach.
